Ever since I started my photography business, I have been eagerly awaiting the day when someone would ask me to photograph a proposal. A few weeks back, I had the absolute joy of photographing this couples actual engagement at Lover's Leap in Elora.
Every detail was so carefully thought out, from the flowers & lanterns, to the dinner for two catered out to the couple, right out to Lover's Leap!
The weather was perfect, and of course, she said yes!
Congratulations to the newly engaged couple, Jason & Canessa - I can't wait to photograph your wedding!
It's been a while since my last blog post, and there are so many photos that I haven't posted!
I had my first wedding of the season a few weeks back assisting my good friend Missy of MissyJoy Photography, took Prom photos for my old high school, and took quite a few family photos.
Here are some of my favourite shots from Justin & Jessica's gorgeous wedding a few weeks back!
It was the most beautiful location, and we had the perfect weather; such a great way to start the wedding season!
On Saturday February 7th, I met my cousin Ilona and her boyfriend Morgan for their winter engagement session.
It was a perfect winter morning, complete with big fluffy snowflakes. We started out taking photos near the walking trail in Ariss, and finished off with skating pictures on a frozen pond at the Ariss Valley Golf Course.
Here are a few of my favourite shots from the day - can't wait to photograph this adorable couples wedding in August!
Better late than never! I took these maternity photos for my lovely cousin back in late October. My cousin Krista and her boyfriend Adam are expecting a little boy in February! Everyone is so excited to meet this little babe, but no one is as excited as these two. You're going to be great parents - and I can't wait to meet baby Colton! Here are a few of my favourite photos from this session.
These three beautiful girls, who just happen to be my best friends, are graduating from the University of Guelph in April from their Science programs. I couldn't have been more flattered that I was asked to capture these precious memories for my dear friends. We took photos at U of G's beautiful campus. The fall colours were in full force, and there was enough wind to make a "wind blown" look for these lovely ladies. Here are a few of my favourite shots from the day!
Holly, Raina and Nejeen:
I am so proud of each of you, for your hard work and dedication over the last four years. And remember . . .
"There are far greater things ahead than any we leave behind," - C.S Lewis.
As a birthday gift for her sister< my good friend Kyla asked if I could do a shoot of her and Jamie.
We took photos at my family farm on thanksgiving weekend - although it was a little windy the weather was perfect and we got some great shots. These girls are so beautiful inside and out, I always have so much fun taking their photos!
I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers, I love fall family photos!!
On Sunday October 5th, I had the pleasure of working with the lovely de Boer family. This shoot was a surprise birthday gift for Tieneke, and I'm so glad it stayed a surprise. We took photos down a no winter maintenance road between a gorgeous tree line near the de Boer's family farm.
Here are a few of my favourite shots from the day!
I once again had the pleasure of working with the awesome Kooiman Family last Saturday. I photographed this fun-filled family about two years ago, and they were just as much fun to work with this time :)
Here are a few of my favourite shots from the day.
On Saturday September 13th I assisted MissyJoy Photography with our second last wedding of the year. I've known Bridgette and Jeremy for several years now, so I was so happy to hear that the two of them were getting married.. and that I would get to be the second shooter at their wedding! I had such a fun day working with Missy, Bridgette, Jeremy and their awesome wedding party. After the ceremony, we traveled to the Flordale dam and old Flordale mill for photos. I think that Bridgette had the most beautiful bouquet out of all the weddings I attended this year.
Bridgette - you looked absolutely stunning, and I'm so happy for the two of you!
On September 6th, my cousin Jenn married her sweetheart Calvin.
Jenn did such a great job planning her wedding, and all of the Diy decorations were fantastic. Not to mention the colourful bridesmaids dresses made for an extra special touch! After the ceremony we traveled to Jenn's grandparents farm in St. Clements where we did some fun bridal party shots. I think Jenn and Calvin will probably have some of the most unique wedding photos as they even got photos with a show bull named Fred!
All the best Jenn and Calvin, thanks for letting me be a part of your special day!
